All in all it was a good weekend for the skaters of Ely Roller Skating Club when they skated on home ground at the Ross Peers Sports Centre in the Soham Open Roller Skating Gala.

Opposition came from clubs from all around the country but as always they performed well winning an impressive total of twenty three medals.  

Chantel Lyon wiped the board in her novice events taking gold for figures, free and dance; whilst Tammy Sellars and Emma Taylor took gold in their figure events.

Silver medals were won by Alethea Mack for figures and free, Richard Culpan for solo dance, Cathy King for solo dance, Emma Taylor and Sophie Woodbridge for duo dance and Emma Taylor, Ellena Barnes-Weston and Sophie Woodbridge for their team dance.

Bronze medals were won by Sophie Woodbridge and Zoe King for figures, Bethany Wakefield for free, Beth Bartlett, Hannah Barclay and Ellena Barnes-Weston for solo dance, Amber Miller and Lucy Page for duo dance and Amber Miller, Zoe King and Lucy Page for team dance.

Newcomer and youngest to compete from Ely, Chloe Figgins gave a strong performance taking 4th place out of 19 in solo dance.
